Finally, we perform a brief CCTV scan to confirm the drain is clear and provide you with a short video clip so you can see the results for yourself.

Can I pour hot water down a blocked drain?

Pouring hot water can sometimes help with light grease build-up, but it’s rarely a permanent fix. If the blockage is caused by debris, tree roots, or a collapsed pipe, hot water will only clear the surface grease. We recommend calling our team for a proper diagnosis—trying to force hot water through a major blockage can make the problem worse.

Can I pour hot water down a blocked drain?

A typical CCTV drain survey on a standard domestic system takes between 30 and 60 minutes. For larger properties or more complex layouts, it may take up to 90 minutes. We provide a full report, including video footage and recommendations, at the end of the inspection.

How often should I have my drains checked or cleaned?

For most homes, we recommend a basic drain jetting and inspection every 12–18 months to prevent blockages and identify early signs of wear. If you notice slow drainage, foul odours, or frequent gurgling sounds, it’s best to book a check as soon as possible rather than waiting for the annual service.
